History & Development

The development trajectory of Chinese financial centers since the early 2000s.

Mainland China is no longer represented in the global financial system by a single city. Shanghai, Beijing, and Shenzhen now rank consistently in the world's top ten, while a second tier of regionally significant centers has developed distinctive functional profiles.
